I’ve had my firewall for years and years and I’m still struggling to figure out how to configure it.
I just installed a firewall, but it’s not doing anything.
I tried the following commands, but the firewall is still not working: $ sudo firewall add rule -f rule name:allow all network-enabled $ sudo iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp –dport 80 -j DNAT –to-ports 8001 -j ACCEPT -m state –state NEW,RELATED,ERROR,UP,STOP,ERROR $ sudo openvpn -I : -p 10.1.1/24 -j MASQUERADE $ sudo netstat -a | grep :ports The firewall is actually working, and I have a couple of new domains on my network.
So, what can I do about it?
First, the firewall might be configured incorrectly.
If you want to make sure the firewall works correctly, you need to install and update OpenVPN and OpenVPN-ng.
First, you’ll need to create a new OpenVPN configuration file.
To do this, open a terminal and navigate to your OpenVPN installation directory.
Next, download and open the latest version of OpenVPN.
If it’s a recent release, click Install from Zip File and follow the prompts.
If OpenVPN is already installed, you can skip this step.
In OpenVPN, click Configure and then click Configuring.
At the bottom, click Add a new domain.
If this is your first time configuring OpenVPN for the first time, you will see the OpenVPN Server Configuration dialog box.
Type in your username and password for the OpenSSL and RSA certificate you will need to configure your Open VPN.
Click Next to begin configuring your domain.
To create the Open VPN, go to the Network and Internet tab.
Click the Open Network tab, click Next to select the network you want OpenVPN to connect to.
In the following screenshot, the network is connected to the IP address 192.168.1.*.
The port is forwarded to 192.17.1, the port to be used by OpenVPN will be forwarded to 5985.
Next to the VPN tab, select the OpenSSH configuration file, click Create, and then Click Next.
Enter your password for your SSH key.
You’ll now see your OpenSSh configuration window.
You will be asked to add the following domain names: mydomain.example.com and mydomain2.example
